| The
Pandas
is a Non-Profit organization that performs oriental
and other music for the elderly in nursing homes. We normally play once or
so a month for nursing homes and during Thanksgiving we perform at
operation READ. We meet every Saturday at 5 and practice till 6:30 for
performances (practices counts as hours as well). The Pandas Orchestra is
a long term commitment and not meant for people to participate to obtain a
few hours.
Usually we end up having 25 hrs or so of volunteering after participating
through the entire school year; we do not meet during summer breaks or
other holidays.
There are no requirements other than to know how to play an instrument
(any instrument); our group consists of students from all 3 levels of
school and so we usually divide into two groups to give everyone a
suitable piece to play.
Address:
Lexington Chinese School @ Immanuel Baptist
Church second floor
3100 Tates Creek Rd.
Lexington, KY 40502
come by the side door; you can follow the other members entering if you
come at 5.

direct everything; qualification for officers are:
-long commitment
-responsibility
current positions we have (not limited to only one person):
